Digger & Truck Hire
We run a 5.5-tonne mini excavator as our everyday digger and an Isuzu CXZ tipper truck that carries over 14 tonnes per load, and we bring in a 14-tonne Hitachi ZAXIS excavator for bigger bulk-earthmoving jobs. Having both a digger and truck on site means we can dig, load, and cart material in one visit, no waiting around for a separate truck to show up. It keeps jobs moving and keeps your costs down.

Excavation & Earthworks
From digging foundations and trenching for utilities through to large-scale cut and fill operations, we handle excavation work of all sizes in Blenheim and across Marlborough. Our day-to-day machine is a 5.5-tonne mini excavator, a small digger that fits tight residential sites and vineyard rows, and for bulk earthmoving we bring in a 14-tonne Hitachi excavator.

Concrete Breaking & Removal
We break up old concrete with a breaker on the 14-tonne Hitachi, load it straight into our tipper and cart it away in the same visit: house and garage slabs, driveways, water tank bases, footings and retaining walls. The broken concrete goes to a local crushing yard to be recycled into hardfill, not to the tip, which costs a lot less than skip and dump fees.

Site Preparation for Builders
We get sections ready for the builder or concrete crew: old slabs and topsoil cleared, house pads sub-graded and brought up to the surveyor's heights with compacted gravel, cut and fill platforms on sloping sections, and foundations and service trenches dug. Our own digger and tipper are on the same job, so the cartage and gravel happen in the same visit.

Gravel Driveways & Rural Tracks
We build gravel driveways from the ground up: soft ground dug out and carted away, then the base and metal brought in with our own tipper and shaped so water runs off. On rural blocks we widen, grade and level access tracks and farm roads, and add water tables, cut-off drains and silt traps so they stop washing out. Old concrete driveways can be broken out and recycled first.

Drainage & Water Infrastructure
Proper drainage is critical in Marlborough, whether you are managing stormwater on a hillside section or installing irrigation across a vineyard block. We excavate trenches, lay pipe, and grade swales to keep water moving where it should.
